Africa..it's a big continent

Arrived in Jo'burg after a good flight with Virgin to Perth and SAA to Jo'burg.

Arrived 4.30 am. Cold. JNB is 6000 ft above sea level. Temperature was 4 degrees.

Africa has a variety of smells... Jo'burg at his time of the year can be smoky - think of the many who are living in shacks made of corrugated iron, with the only heat coming from what they can burn. Think how cold that is! But by midday a lovely 23 degrees.

These days spent buying the necessary items for the journey and preparing the vehicle. Installing roof racks, buying a second spare, now chained to the roof rack of the vehicle.

Such fun!
