Aug 13th Moremi into Chobe Botswana

A moving day - only about 160 kms (20 on tar) but have been warned that it could be slow.

Entered Chobe at Mabebe Gate - two possible routes - sought advice from the park staff when paying my park entrance fees ...They said keep right..which I did. The road at first was bad..very bad but then it got worse..

This sort of stuff is easy but you can see people turning to the left

Dust and sand everywhere

The road heavily rutted and in one 30-40 kilometre up hill stretch thick sand.

Bloody hard work..the car went like a dream!

The 140k of sandy road took six and a quarter hours.

I was physically and mentally stuffed.
